Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 April 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies Distinxion uses, and how you can manage them. By continuing to use our platform, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your browser, remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with the site.
Cookies are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners. They are not programs and cannot carry viruses or install malware.
2. Cookies We Use
Distinxion uses a minimal set of cookies, primarily focused on keeping you signed in and securing your session. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Our cookies fall into two categories:
- Essential cookies: Required for the platform to function. You cannot opt out of these without losing core functionality (such as staying logged in).
- Analytics cookies: Optional cookies used to understand how the platform is used, so we can improve it. These are anonymised and not used to identify you personally.
3. Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the service to function and cannot be switched off.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Supabase | Stores your authentication session so you remain logged in | Session / 7 days | Essential |
| sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | Supabase | Used for secure PKCE authentication flow during login | Session | Essential |
Why we can't turn these off
Supabase authentication relies on these cookies to verify who you are on every page visit. Without them, you would be logged out on every page navigation and the platform would be unusable. These cookies contain your session token — they do not contain personal information directly, but losing them means losing your session.
4. Analytics Cookies
Currently, Distinxion does not use third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics). We rely on anonymised server-side logs to understand usage patterns.
If we introduce analytics cookies in the future, we will update this policy and provide you with an option to opt in or out before they are set.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Supabase
Our authentication and database provider, Supabase, sets the session cookies described in Section 3. These are set in the gkxcmaunrgknunecbxek.supabase.co domain and are governed by Supabase's Privacy Policy.
Stitch
When you click through to Stitch to complete a payment, Stitch may set their own cookies on their domain. These are governed by Stitch's Privacy Policy. We have no control over or access to these cookies.
No advertising or tracking cookies
We do not use any advertising networks, social media pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not sell your browsing data to any third party.
6. Managing Cookies
Browser settings
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View which cookies are set and delete individual cookies.
- Block cookies from specific websites.
- Block all third-party cookies.
- Clear all cookies when you close your browser.
Instructions vary by browser. Look for "Privacy" or "Cookies" in your browser's settings menu, or visit your browser's help documentation.
Impact of disabling cookies
If you disable the Supabase session cookies, you will not be able to stay logged in to Distinxion. You will need to log in again on every visit, and some features may not work correctly.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Distinxion does not currently respond to DNT signals as we do not track users across third-party sites regardless of this setting.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we introduce new features that use cookies. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect when changes were made. We will notify you of material changes by email.
